About me

I'm Leander.

I'm a Registered Nurse and Independent Prescriber and the founder of Leander Jayne Aesthetics, a private aesthetic clinic in Dunstable, Bedfordshire.

I've worked in healthcare since 2009 and have been practising aesthetics since 2018.

My background in nursing has always shaped the way I approach aesthetics. For me, it's not simply about how a treatment looks. It's about understanding the person in front of me, assessing suitability, discussing risks and benefits honestly and making sure that any treatment is appropriate for them. And sometimes that means saying no.

Why aesthetics?

I started Leander Jayne Aesthetics because I wanted to create a space where people could explore aesthetic treatments without feeling pressured to change themselves. I know that deciding to have aesthetic treatment can feel daunting. You might have spent months thinking about it, be worried about looking unnatural, have had a bad experience elsewhere, or simply not know where to start. I want my clinic to be somewhere you can ask those questions without feeling judged.

My philosophy

The best injectable is the least detectable. I don't believe in chasing perfection or trying to erase every line. Faces move. Faces change. Skin changes. My goal is to help you look refreshed, balanced and like yourself. Not frozen. Not overfilled. Not changed beyond recognition. Just you  feeling confident.

Skin comes first

I also believe that good aesthetics starts with good skin. That's why I don't see injectables as the whole picture. Your everyday skincare, SPF, skin barrier, hydration, lifestyle and consistency all play a huge role in how your skin looks and ages. Where appropriate, treatments such as SkinPen, Profhilo, polynucleotides and chemical peels can complement a good homecare routine and support overall skin quality. For me, it's about the bigger picture rather than chasing a quick fix.

My qualifications & experience

I qualified as a Registered Adult Nurse in 2009 and have continued to develop my clinical knowledge throughout my nursing career. I hold an MSc in Specialist Community Nursing, a PGDip in Specialist Community Nursing, a BSc, a Diploma in Adult Nursing and an Independent Non-Medical Prescribing qualification. Alongside my nursing qualifications, I have completed advanced training in medical aesthetics, including line reduction treatments, dermal fillers, lip augmentation, chemical peels, Profhilo, polynucleotides and medical-grade skincare. I am also a Queen's Nurse and a member of the ACE Group. I continue to undertake ongoing professional development so that my practice remains informed by current evidence and professional standards.

Your safety matters

As a nurse and independent prescriber, I take your safety seriously. Before treatment, I'll assess your medical history, medication, concerns and suitability. Where prescription-only treatment is involved, a face-to-face consultation and prescribing assessment are completed before treatment. I'll explain the expected benefits, limitations, potential risks and aftercare, so that you can make an informed decision. And if treatment isn't appropriate, I won't treat you.

A little bit about me

Outside the clinic, I'm a busy mum who loves spending time with family and friends, travelling, good food and making time for my own wellbeing. I understand how easy it is to spend years putting everyone else first. That's one of the reasons I love what I do. Aesthetic treatment isn't about vanity. Sometimes it's simply about doing something for yourself.

Welcome to my clinic

My clinic is a private, tranquil home-based setting in Dunstable. It's deliberately calm and personal somewhere you can switch off for a little while and have a proper conversation about what you'd like to achieve. There's no conveyor belt of appointments and no pressure to buy anything. Just time, honest advice and a treatment plan that's right for you.
